The 2009 Midwest Macroeconomics
Meetings will be hosted by the Department of Economics at Indiana
University in Bloomington, Indiana from Friday May 15 to Sunday May 17,
2009. The sessions will start at 1 p.m. on Friday and run until 1 p.m. on
Sunday. The conference reception will
take place on Saturday, May 16, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Museum.
The plenary speakers will be
Daron Acemoglu (MIT) and
Harald
Uhlig (University of Chicago). Parallel sessions will include
contributed papers.
Paper Submissions
Submissions of a paper or an extended
abstract (the former is preferred) can be uploaded to Conference
Maker at the following URL:

The submission deadline is February 28, 2009. We expect to
complete the program and notify the authors and participants by
March 31, 2009.
Registration
There is a $70 registration
fee. Receipts will be issued by email for the registration fee.
Preferred method of payment will be by credit card, though we can
accommodate checks.
We will be unable to accept cash at the time of
registration on 5/15. There will be a registration desk set up in Wylie
Hall starting from Friday 5/15 at 11 a.m. Parallel sessions will be held
in Wylie Hall. The rooms are equipped with power point projection facilities

Airport
Please remember that the
nearest airport is in Indianapolis. (Flying into Bloomington will not be
helpful, since you could end up in Illinois or Minnesota). Information on

The two main conference hotels
