Energy Management and Utilities team is responsible for managing the daily activities and operation and maintenance for utilities serving the Bloomington campus, as well as tracking utility costs/trends, hedging natural gas and utility related infrastructure projects for all campuses.  We are responsible for the delivery of utilities to campus buildings including: electricity, steam-heating, chilled water-air conditioning, drinking water, sanitary and storm sewer.  We provide oversight and guidance of energy/utility systems and related system infrastructure including: system design, operation/maintenance, data collection, internal utility billing, building/system analysis, reporting, infrastructure assessment, rate case tracking, system planning, procurement strategies and contract negotiation.

Bloomington Campus:

We produce steam for heating/humidification from the Central Heating Plant and  chilled water from the Central Chilled Water Plant as well as three additional remote chiller plants at: Forest, Woodlawn and the Music Arts Center.  We manage utility distribution systems: electricity, steam, chilled water, water, storm and wastewater systems.
