P: Sophomore standing and one semester of biology. Spring, day. Provides
the undergraduate with experience  in the major applications of the
computer to the life sciences. Topics: computer hardware, software,
BASIC  programming concepts, and application packages. Projects: micro
and mainframe computer experiences with  databases, simulations,
statistical packages, computer graphics, networks, and computer
interfacing to  laboratory equipment.
