practical applications related to measurement of vertical and horizontal

distances and angles using the tape, level, transit, theodolite, and
EDMI (total stations, electronic workbooks, laser levels, etc.)
Computations of grades, traverses, areas, and curves. Basic concepts of
topography and its uses. Identification of contours and drawing of
topographical maps.
