Class 3. P: CET 104. This course is designed to provide an overview of
geodesy and includes the following: a brief history of geodesy, the
geometry of the ellipsoid, the two-dimensional ellipse, the construction

of an ellipse, the three-dimensional ellipsoid, geodetic
transformations, geodetic datums, reduction of field observations to the

ellipsoid, the geoid, and orthometric heights and leveling.
