Class 2, Lab 2. P: TG 116, C: TG 211. This course introduces the
knowledge base on which digital animation and spatial graphics are
founded and developed. Emphasis will be placed on developing a working
knowledge of the underlying process of 3D animation including mechanics
of 3D geometric formats; spline, polygon mesh, and NURBS modeling;
procedural mapping of raster images; simplified modeling, rendering
methods; hierarchical linking; keyframe animation; thumbnail
storyboarding and scripting fundamentals.
