domains, Fourier and Z-transforms, convolution. Knowledge of C or FORTRAN
on UNIX). Models of the vocal tract; identification and extraction of
speech features; speech transmission and compression systems; the
recognition of speech and speakers by computers; control of speech
synthesizers. Computer project required.
