These courses stress mastery of passive vocabulary and recognition of  grammatical forms needed for reading skills. Designed for students of  science, technology, the professional schools, and for those desiring  sufficient proficiency in reading and translating German to enable them  to work with German materials in their fields. These courses do not  fulfill the foreign language requirement of the School of Liberal Arts.
