The William P. Malm Photography Collection
These images were made by scanning Prof. Malm's black and white and color prints at 72 or 100 dpi. The resulting TIFF files were cropped close to the edges of each print, adjusted for brightness and contrast using Photoshop's levels command, and saved as high-quality JPEG format. While this work was done on a Macintosh, the images were brightened with the awareness that images viewed in Windows may appear darker. Some of the source images were dark to begin with, and could not be brightened further without obscuring people's features.Return to main page.
