Dr. Timothy Hellwig

Timothy Hellwig is a political scientist with research and teaching interests in comparative political economy, political behavior, European politics, and research methods. He is currently completing a book manuscript, Globalization and Mass Politics: Retaining the Room to Maneuver, to be published at Cambridge University Press. Tim holds a BA from St. Cloud State University, an MA from American University, and a PhD from the University of Minnesota. Before coming to IU, he was a researcher at the International Foundation for Election Systems, on the faculty at the University of Houston, and a visiting researcher at the University of Essex and at Gothenburg University.

Kallan Picha is a graduate of the dual-degree MPA/MA program between IU’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Institute for European Studies, formerly West European Studies. She received her BA in International Business and German from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. Kallan has studied or worked abroad in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Northern Ireland, and the Czech Republic. Her research interests include comparative US-EU public policy and administration, immigration and integration, and European identity. Before coming to EURO, she worked for IU Grant Services in the Office of Research Administration.

Jennifer Ashcraft received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Indiana University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She has worked as an academic advisor in IU Athletics, a study abroad advisor at North Carolina State University, and international scholar advisor at IU’s Office of International Services. She currently serves as Academic Advisor for REEI, as well as Central Eurasian Studies, Second Language Studies, and the Institute of European Studies. She also serves as the International Student Specialist for the College of Arts and Sciences.
