Peer Instructors
Peer Instructors (PIs) are accomplished juniors or seniors who teach the 1-credit COLL-X 111 FIGs Seminar and live in the same residence hall with their students. In addition to teaching the Seminar, Peer Instructors help organize cultural and intellectual activities, help students form study groups, and connect students to academic resources on campus. PIs also provide a model of academic success for new students who may be uncertain about their ability to make the transition from home to campus and high school to college. PIs are a unique resource for students transitioning to IU.
