Graphic Design Facilities
The technical facilities range from excellent computer labs, wood shops, printmaking facilities, darkrooms, and other specialized equipment. Design students are encouraged to explore multiple mediums as part of their growth as visual communication specialists. MFA and BFA programs each have a studio adjacent to a state of the art computer facility including both Macintosh and Silicon Graphics work stations and advanced printing and scanning capabilities. Also adjacent to the studios the Graphic Design Press allows students to explore traditional book arts as related to visual communication. These facilities provide the tools necessary for exploring visual communication design in the conducive environment of Indiana University.
