Bernstein is Professor and Co-Head, Printmaking at Indiana University, Bloomington. Education includes: MFA, printmaking, Indiana 1973; Atelier 17, Paris; B.F.A, painting Rhode Island School of Design. Bernstein has two regional grants from the NEA. Professional appointments include: Oxford University (UK), UC Berkeley, and the University of Arkansas. He exhibits in major national and international juried and invited exhibitions and has been a visiting artist in the US, Canada, and Europe. His work is in museums in US, United Kingdom, Italy, and China. Bernstein curated the No Danger international exhibition for the 2008 SGC conference at the Richmond Virginia International Airport.
Wendy Calman, Associate Professor

Born in New York City, Professor Calman was educated at the University of Pittsburgh where she received a BA in Art History, and at Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia, receiving both an MFA and an M.Ed. After teaching for four years at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, she joined the Printmaking faculty at Indiana University in 1976, and she is currently Co-Head of the Printmaking area. She has received Master Fellowships from the Indiana Arts Commission, a Ford Foundation grant, and many honors and awards for her work in exhibitions. Her work has been included in publications such as Innovative Printmaking , Photographer’s Choice, Contemporary American Women Sculptors, and 20th Century North American Women Artists, and is represented in collections both nationally and internationally.
Valgerdur Hauksdottir, Visiting Assistant Professor

Valgerdur Hauksdottir is a Visiting Assistant Professor from Iceland. She holds a BA (1981) from the University of New Mexico and an MFA (1983) from the University of Illinois, Champaign - Urbana. Previous professional appointments include Head of Printmaking, Vice Principal at The Icelandic College of Art & Crafts, and Founder / Coordinator of PA&R, Printmaking, Art and Research, a co-operative experimental program at masters level amongst five European Art Institutions at The Icelandic College of Art & Crafts and The Iceland Art Academy. Hauksdottir has been a guest faculty at several institutions, e.g., University of Texas, Austin, the Finnish Art Academy, Helsinki, the Swedish Art Academy, Stockholm, and guest artist / lecturer at several universities in Europe, China and the United States. Hauksdottir’s work has been exhibited widely both nationally and internationally. Her largest solo exhibitions have been in Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, France, Holland, Scotland, Sweden, and the United States. Her works are found in public and private collections in Australia, Canada, Europe, and the United States. Awards and honours include Fulbright Visiting Scholar, the Government of Iceland, the Masters of Graphic Arts, Hungary, The Egyptian International Print Triennial, as artist in residence in Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, and at several universities in the United States. Hauksdottir’s work is featured in, e.g., Printmaking at the Edge by Richard Noyce (2009), and Printmaking: A Contemporary Perspective by Paul Coldwell (2010).
