Kristen Martincic seeks to reveal very private, vulnerable moments and emotions through her artwork. Her prints, mixed-media sculptures, and installations make absence apparent and push the boundaries of privacy. She uses garments as a surrogate for the human form to speak of awkwardness and humor.
In addition to being an active artist, Martincic strives to be an inspiring educator. She enjoys sharing her passion about art with others and assisting them in realizing their creative potential. She is a visiting faculty member within the Printmaking Department and also teaches in the 2-D Design Fundamentals program.
