The MFA requires the completion of 60 graduate credit hours over a period of three years, except in the area of painting which is a two-year program. Students enroll in credits for studio work and attend graduate seminars and critiques. They are required to successfully complete an oral review and oversee the mounting of a thesis exhibition in one of the school galleries. Continuation in the program is based upon regular reviews by the faculty and maintaining a GPA of 3.0. The size of the MFA program is 75 students on average; roughly 20 students are admitted each year.
