IU East freshman, Bachelor of Arts in humanities

Andrew Darr chose IU East because of its proximity to home. A native of Richmond, Indiana, Darr is starting his first year at age 23 pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in humanities, although he says he may later change his major to theatre and transfer to IU Bloomington.

Darr would like to move to a larger city and work in the theatre industry after earning his degree. He hopes to get into the United Scenic Artists Guild some day, and said his IU degree will help him in his career pursuits. “It's a degree from IU, which is a really good school,” Darr says.

During his first year at IU, Darr would like to join the humanities club. Darr is proud of the creative endeavors he has accomplished so far, which mostly lie in the realm of scenic design for productions of Jesus Christ Superstar and WIT.
