How do you become one of the first to know what’s happening in the lives of Indiana University students? Subscribe to a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) by one or several of your favorite students in the First-Year Experiences Web site. As soon as a new journal entry is posted, you’ll receive a message letting you know the latest news in your favorite student’s life. Read more about RSS to learn how to get started.

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format that allows you to subscribe to information from Web sites such as news or blogs. You can subscribe to RSS feeds using a news reader such as FeedDemon for Windows, NetNewsWire for Mac, or the popular Web-based service Bloglines.

How do I subscribe?

Follow the instructions of your news reader to add a subscription to "In Their Own Words." You will need to copy and paste a URL from those listed here. You may use the first URL to subscribe to all entries or use the others to subscribe to a specific student's journal.
