My College Groove

Sep 29, 2005

IU Kokomo student Sunny Jewell answers the phone while working in the campus admissions office. This week has absolutely flown by! It started with my excitement of getting a perfect score on my first math test...it gave me a little more confidence that I can do this college thing. I was also preoccupied with studying for my first sociology test. I am amazed at how many hours of studying you have to put in to get an A. It is definitely nothing like high school, but I am finally starting to get into the groove of my college schedule and fixing work, study, and leisure time around it.

Aside from all the studying, my personal life has also been extremely hectic. My fiancé, Maci’, and I picked a date for our wedding. Although it’s about a year and a half away, we have already begun to plan somewhat. Next week, I am going to put my first payment down on my dress. It’s so scary and exciting at the same time! We also have two couples we are friends with who are getting married within the next six months. It is so crazy how we have grown up around each other, and changed from little kids playing together to college students planning our weddings together. Oh, how life moves so fast!
