A Painful Life Lesson

My life lesson for this week—just how important your hind end really is. I know that's not the life lesson that would be expected of a college student, but it's the one that altered my week. Monday evening I was trying to study and help put up a new ceiling fan. As I was taking the old one out to the trash, I slipped down my porch steps and landed on the corner of the bottom one.

Looking back, I would have to say it was the worst pain of my life. What made it so much worse was that it turned so black and swollen that I could not even sit in class! Not only was it obvious by how I carried a pillow, but I had to tell my instructors and get permission to stand through class. I am lucky Maci' was there to help baby me. Thank God I was blessed with someone who loves me through it all, even when I am literally a pain in the butt!
