Glad to move on

One more exam completed this week. Three weeks of school left and counting. I know I need the break along with all the other college students of the world. I will also be glad to move on to a new semester. To be honest, I’m kind of bored with the classes that I’m taking right now. They are both requirements to apply to the Master of Social Work program, so I had to take them. Next semester I’ll be taking two psychology classes of my choosing. I’m looking forward to a bit more applicable and interesting subject matter. Don’t get me wrong. I have been extremely impressed with how well my statistics teacher teaches, and he has made the class as interesting as statistics can be. However, it’s just not my thing. That is one of the nice things about college requirements though. They push you into challenges that we might not have chosen for ourselves. You can walk around just about any college campus and see minds expanding all around thanks to requirements and prerequisites. (See I’m challenging myself to look on the positive side. I’m not sure I’m buying it though. Maybe I’ll be more convinced when the semester is over, and I’m relaxing over Christmas break.)
