Homecoming Excitement

Homecoming was amazing! There was so much to do all weekend and tons of people everywhere. On Friday night a few of my friends from home came and brought Leslie, one of my best friends from high school who had gone to Florida for college. Leslie had just flown in. I was so excited to see all of them!

Then on Saturday we woke up early to go to the Illinois vs. IU football game. A few friends and I went early and got pretty good seats in the student section. There were a lot of people at the game and tons of our friends showed up and sat with us.

Later that afternoon we went to a friend’s house for a cookout. We had so much fun! We ended up meeting a lot of new people. I met one girl who was so nice! Her name was Christina and her boyfriend was a friend with my friend’s boyfriend, so hopefully I will see her around. I just had a lot of fun hanging out with her, and I really like meeting people outside of my dorm.

By Sunday, I was pretty tired but had field hockey practice that night. Justine and I went and it was really a productive practice. There were about 14 people there and we scrimmaged little games. Emily, the fundraising coordinator, and I decided we are going to do a magazine fundraiser. I am not sure that everyone will participate, but if we could even make about $500 that would be enough to cover our practices at the Sportsplex and some extra equipment.

This Saturday about five or six of us are running in the Jill Behrman “Run for the End Zone” race as part of our community service. The run is about three miles long, which I hope I can do!
