It’s tough to take an instant liking to a “Microsoft” diary. The excited paperclip (who’s telling me I need help in writing a letter) refuses to quit, leaving me with little privacy to write my first entry. ….
…Third week of school and it almost feels as if the dude behind Piled Higher and Deeper is writing less on grad school and more on me. It has begun “piling”; it only needs to get higher and deeper!! Anyways, here’s a quick recap of my first few weeks at IU.

Some favorite moments:

    1. The concluding words by Martin Seigel (He is Executive Associate Dean and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Professor of Informatics who also conducted this year's orientation and fresher welcome) at our student orientation. (Seems like the Microsoft Lords disapprove of our school’s executive dean…there’s a crazy red line under his name.)
    2. …everyday breakfast during orientation (especially since I always remember having forgotten the day’s first meal after leaping more than 20 miles on the odometer.)
    3. ..the drive to Bloomington. I currently drive to Bloomington from 20 miles up north. The reason is that my roommate works at IUPUI, and we needed to work out a mid-way point of residence. We were too lazy to go through the trouble of finding new roommates. She and I have been roommates for sometime now.

Some not-so-favorite moments:

    1. Running around for a parking spot…EVERYDAY!!
    2. Shuttling between Eigenmann (my office) and school…we definitely need a train service between these two.
    3. Martinsville patrol!!!....They keep zipping all day in V8 AC cars with laptops that have wireless Internet…Unfair!!!
    4. Oh!! And did I forget??…Running around for a parking spot….WITHOUT FAIL EVERYDAY..except sometimes on a Sunday you have better luck.

More later.

Mood: Angry, irritated, fuming…someone’s got to convince Bill Gates against these red and green lines in Microsoft Word. They can cause serious brain damage…Grhhh!!!
