A Woman in Science
Sep 11, 2005
It has been 18 days since I began school at IUPUI. It seems as though I have been here for about 30 days. I’m taking 17 credit hours this first semester of my college career, and I am slightly feeling the pressure.
College is the true beginning to the rest of someone’s life. The steps made here directly influence one’s immediate and distant future. Sure, there is the anticipated stress and pressure that comes with the various classes, not to mention the workload, but there is the enjoyment of walking to and fro, learning something new, and enjoying each and every day that goes by that makes my college experience so pleasurable!
My roommate, Amber, who is from Seymour, Indiana, and I get along pretty well. We are both “Women in Science” as we are called on campus and we have the luxury of staying in fully furnished apartments. College has made a wonderful first impression for me. I am excited to see where the semester and year may take me.
