Circus in the City
Oct 2, 2005

Yet another week in Indianapolis, however, this was one of the greatest weekends! It was the American Family Insurance Circle City Classic Celebration! To my dismay, I was unable to attend, but I was one of the featured honor students in the parade last year.
On Friday, I had another babysitting gig with the Young family. We went to see the Ringling Brother’s and Barnum & Bailey Circus at Conseco Fieldhouse. Unfortunately, the weird lighting effects and feelings of nostalgia did not allow me to take pictures. The circus was very interesting. By the end, I realized that I was overwhelmed with the many events that took place in the 115 minutes that I was there. There were lions, motorcycles, fire, confetti, dancers, clowns, cotton candy, snow cones, and lots of smiling and enjoyment. I always admire the trapeze artists because they have conquered a fear of heights that I have not, yet. The elephants and horses were just phenomenal because they were so domesticated! They were solely focused on their trainers and performed their tasks so finely.
School itself went well. I had my first calculus and chemistry tests, which both went well. I also planned my schedule for next year and it is looking lovely, might I add. If all goes well, my Monday class (yes, singular) will not start until 1 p.m.
