Computer Virus
Oct 23, 2005
If bad luck could be the cause of anything, it would be the reason why I was recently infected with a computer virus. Yes, in my years of using computers I have never personally confronted a virus. Mine came in these past couple of days. I have been temporarily “excused,” if you will, from accessing the IU network because I may infect the whole network. Who can hardly blame IU for doing their job? But I, on the other hand, must suffer the syndrome of having-a-computer-but-not-being-able-to-use-it. Such a syndrome can lead to extra running around to type and print papers, respond and check e-mails, and browse the Internet. It’s been tough, but in the next 10 days (maximum) I should be up and running with normal Internet access in the comfort of my personal living space.
Also this week, I have been assigned the task to write two lab reports. One for chemistry and one for biology. Biology’s is due this coming week, and chemistry the following week. It’s quite a task to write just one report, but two will definitely keep me on my toes.
However, despite the usual workload, I am excited for the Hall-o-Ween dance coming up. In my apartment complex, a costume party is being thrown on our behalf. I know that everyone who attends will have a great time. My friends Holly and Jennifer wanted to go as pirates with me, but then we couldn’t find costumes that looked that great. We ended up going our separate ways. I’m going to be Spiderina. I am excited to boogie the night away and show off my costume.
