Curriculum
The Graduate Flagship curriculum is closely modeled on the existing EALC MA degrees in Chinese and East Asian Studies. The primary differences in graduation requirements between these programs and the Flagship track pertain to language training, including an internship abroad. MA students entering the Flagship track are required to complete a four-month internship in China along with one semester of direct enrollment at Nanjing University taking coursework in their major field. Additionally, students are required to submit in Chinese a précis of their MA thesis or project. Those who submit externally verified evidence of superior level Chinese proficiency will receive certification from The Language Flagship.
