Since 1968, the Friends of Art at Indiana University has been a financial and operational support for art students at the Hope School of Fine Arts through a wide variety of activities and programs. Our Bookshop provides the greatest selection of art titles and textbooks in the region, as well as providing funds for scholarships that average over $20,000 a year. Our members enjoy a discount at the bookshop and travel several times a year to art destinations around the counrty. We see the most important museum shows in New York, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Chicago, and many other cities. We attend art openings, special previews of shows, lectures and receptions that are exciting, informative, and sometimes controversial. We support the SoFA Gallery, which is the leading venue for contemporary art in the area, as well as a sponsor for the MFA and BFA shows that occur throughout the year.
