Graduate Program

The graduate curriculum at IU offers comprehensive training in methods and approaches, in the traditional arts and thoughts of the world's communities, and in the intersections of tradition with the domains of commerce, popular culture, politics and public policy.

The department offers MA and PhD degrees with concentrations in Folklore or Ethnomusicology, PhD minors and MA cognates as well as dual MA and PhD degrees in conjunction with other departments and schools such as Journalism and Library and Information Sciences.
