Basic Italian Courses - Fall 2009
All students with previous course work in Italian must take a placement examination. Contact the testing bureau (BEST), 855-1595, for testing dates. Students must avoid final exam conflicts. See exam schedule in the Enrollment and Student Academic Information booklet.
FRIT M100: Elementary Italian I (4 cr.) - Introduction to contemporary Italian language, geography, and culture. Involves a broad variety of assignments and activities that develop grammatical competency and proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Cultural topics and simple cultural comparisons are introduced. Credit given for only one of the following: M100, M110, or M115, or M491. Giuseppina De Masi, course supervisor.
