What's French Good For Anyway? Issues in French Language Program Management

This talk will examine current issues and problems related to the coordination of basic French language instruction at the college level. To be followed by discussion and refreshments.

Dr. Kelly Sax is the Coordinator of French Language Instruction in the Department of French and Italian. She completed her PhD at Indiana University in 2003 with a dissertation entitled Acquisition of Stylistic Variation by American Learners of French. Her research interests include second language acquisition, language pedagogy, computer-assisted language learning, and French phonetics.
