Visitor Resources

IUB Campus, Fall

We are happy to arrange visits for prospective students and alumni to meet with faculty, attend one or two classes, and meet current students. Ballantine Hall is located behind Jordan Hall, which is on E. 3rd St. in Bloomington. Visitor parking is available in the Atwater parking garage, on Atwater Avenue, between Faculty St. and Woodlawn Ave. Visitors can obtain a ticket as they enter the garage, and then get a Valid Today Only parking permit from the Department in order to exit the garage without fees.

There is parking for individuals with a state-issued "disabled" license plate adjacent to Ballantine Hall, on the upper level of the Ballantine Hall parking garage. The entrance to the building at that level takes you to the first floor, and from there you will need a key to use the elevator. Please request a staff member to meet you there, and then he/she will take you up to the sixth floor. There are two additional wheelchair accessible entrances to Ballantine Hall: on the south side by Jordan Hall and from the center courtyard of the building.

Prospective students should contact the appropriate staff member to arrange for a visit:
Undergraduate Secretary – fritusw@indiana.edu
Graduate Secretary – fritgs@indiana.edu
Other visitors should contact the Departmental Administrator, Isabel Piedmont-Smith, at ipiedmon@indiana.edu.

Please also make use of the Indiana University Visitor Information Center and the Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau.
