circolo italiano - Fall 2009

Circolo italiano

The Circolo Italiano meets each week and is open to all who want to interact in a friendly environment in order to improve their language skills, regardless of their academic affiliation. In addition to showing Italian films (with English subtitles), the Circolo offers the chance for conversation with many native speakers and other students of Italian.

Conversation nights - Circolo Italiano meets every other Wednesday evening at 7:00-8:15pm in Ballantine Hall 004, starting September 9. All those interested in conversing in Italian are invited to the meetings of Circolo. The dates for Fall 2009 are:

September 9 and 23
October 7 and 21
November 4 and 18
December 2

Film nights - The Circolo Italiano Film Series will take place every other week alternating with the conversation nights. Films are in Italian with English subtitles. The series is free and open to the public. The theme this semester is Contemporary Films on the Family in Italy. Click here for the schedule.

For more information e-mail Circolo Italiano's coordinators, Carla Bicoff (Circolo conversation nights) or Professor Colleen Ryan-Scheutz (Faculty Sponsor).
