Cherokee National Forest, Chestoa, TN

Experience an extended backpacking trip on the southern corridor of the Appalachian Trail (The A.T.). The A.T. runs from Georgia to Maine and you will be hiking on part of the 371 mile stretch between North Carolina and Tennessee. Live off of what you carry on your back and share a remote experience in pristine wilderness with new friends. The A.T. is outfitted with primitive shelters that allow hikers the chance to rest and recoup as they hike through rhododendrons, mountain laurels, and hemlock trees.
