What to Expect at Welcome Week
If you live in the Residence Halls, you will receive information from Residential Programs regarding recommended times for check in. This is to help shorten lines checking in to the halls. Be sure to read the RPS MOVE-IN GUIDE provided online at http://www.rps.indiana.edu/index.cfml
If you do not live in the Residence Halls there are many events for you! Be sure to pick up your Welcome Week calendar and information booklet from the First Year Experience Programs office. They will also be available at the Freshman Induction Picnic.
Transfer Students: Meet other transfer students, get tips on academics, student life and more at the Transfer Tip-Off. Welcome Week events are for you, too!
Parents and family members are invited to take part in opening day activities, as well. The Freshman Induction Ceremony is planned with them in mind, as is the Induction Picnic. This is a great last activity together before they return home - be sure to invite them.
Important to know: freshmen students (male or female) are not allowed in any Greek house (unless they have a contract to live there) prior to the start of IFC Rush. This is in agreement with Greek Councils, the Dean of Students Office, and First Year Experience Programs. Consequences of violating this policy may result in fines for the chapter and banning the freshman from Greek involvement.
