Stop 1. Western Side
This stop is highly deformed with faulted and folded marine sediments with minor regional metamorphism and dynamic metamorphism in the fault zones. The rock is mostly shallow and deep marine sediments. A large piece of deformed and fractured highly mafic basalt is contained in the lower parts of the stop.
