Spatial, Temporal and Depth Variations in Ocean Temperatures:
- Aim: to explore variations in global seawater temperatures.

- annual average SST.
- twelve images of individual monthly average SST.
- ocean temperatures at a series of seven specified depths.
- 0m, 100m, 250m, 500m, 1km, 2.5km, and 5km
Procedures:
- The sites and images provide global maps of ocean temperatures.
- Note that the color temperature scale for the monthly maps is different.
- The questions in this exercise all concern assessment and interpretation of the temperatures represented by the color maps.
- In some instances the questions involve comparison of differences between individual maps.

- they require generation and/or examination of a series of global temperature maps.
