Spatial, Temporal and Depth Variations in Ocean Temperatures:



Procedures:
  • The sites and images provide global maps of ocean temperatures.
  • Note that the color temperature scale for the monthly maps is different.
  • The questions in this exercise all concern assessment and interpretation of the temperatures represented by the color maps.
  • In some instances the questions involve comparison of differences between individual maps.


Introduction to Questions on Ocean Temperatures:
  • The questions are outlined in a series of tables ( next page , following page , last page )
    • they require generation and/or examination of a series of global temperature maps.
  • Reminder: you should submit your answers via oncourse .
