HOW TO TYPE SPECIAL CHARACTERS

     
    Macintosh
    Ä, ä, Ö, ö, Ü, ü,
    Press the option key followed by the u key. Then type the letter you need.

    ß
    Press the option key followed by the s key.

    Windows
    Press the Num Lock key to activate the numeric keypad. Hold down the ALT key and press the numeric code for the character you want:
     
    Ä 0196
    ä 0228
    Ö 0214
    ö 0246
    Ü 0220
    ü 0252
    ß 0223
