Discussion Sessions

  • Aim of Discussion Sessions:
    • To enable the exploration of specific class topics in detail.
    • To enhance understanding of important aspects of the course.  
    • To provide an opportunity to explore material pertinent to course goals.
  • Topics, Information Sources:
    • The sequence of discussion topics is listed below. 
    • For each topic the tasks are:
      • Complete the Survey assessing prior knowledge of the topic
      • Explore the links to resources for the topics
      • Answer the preparative ("Questionnaire") questions for each topic (Note that it is the effort taken to answer these questions rather than the detailed content of the answers that is assessed)
      • Choose topic preference on the selection questionnaire
      • Complete summative ("Reflections") comments and recognition questionnaire after the discussion.
    • Links on this page will be activated as the course proceeds.
