Biography

My current research interests center around the Supreme Court decision Eisenstadt v. Baird (1972). This decision ended the legal privileging of the married over the single person in privacy rights applied to birth control. This project considers the representation of Bill Baird in both popular media and the historiography. In addition to issues of representation, I am interested in the role of hegemony, national identity, and gender performance within the discourses of this case.
