Biography

Lisa Logan comes to Indiana University with her partner and their three children. She graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Washington University, with a BA in Women's and Gender Studies. She is a Ronald E. McNair scholar and received several undergraduate scholarships, including an American Association of University Women scholarship. She also received the Dean Jeffers Chertok Honor as a graduate of EWU. Lisa presented her research on the representation of bisexuality and motherhood in the film French Twist at the Northwest Women's Studies Association Regional Conference in 2008. In addition to her studies, she has been involved in activist groups related to the environment, women's rights, LGBTQ youth, and human rights. Lisa also enjoys photography and poetry and hopes to use them in future activism.

Women's and LGBTQ rights as human rights, LGBTQ studies, transnational feminism, especially as it relates to human trafficking and sexual servitude, representations of gender in visual communication, particularly those of bisexuality and motherhood.
