In Memoriam: J. Michael Walker Psychology professor dies at 57 Professor J. Michael Walker, 57, died of natural causes in January of 2008. Walker, a professor of both psychology and neuroscience, was director of the Linda and Jack Gill Center for Biomolecular Science at IU. In his lab research, he studied neurochemical, neurophysiological and anatomical bases of pain perception. The department hosted a memorial service for Walker on Friday, February 22nd at the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center.
