Scholarships and Programs

Gill Chairs
GCBS provides five endowed faculty chairs within the College of Arts and Sciences. These chairs are used to promote interdisciplinary research in biomolecular science with a particular focus on neuroscience.

Gill Undergraduate Scholars
Two incoming freshman are selected each year for a four-year scholarship (full tuition and fees) to do research with faculty members in biomolecular science.

Gill Graduate Fellowships
The Gill Center offers five graduate fellowships to top candidates whose research interests matches that of the Gill Center's chair holders.

Gill Symposium and Gill award
The symposium is held to honor scientists whose research has had the most profound impact on shaping the field and enhancing public understanding of neuroscience.

Gill Center Seminar Series
Every fall and spring semester, distinguished neuroscientists are invited to Indiana University to present their latest findings and to interact with students and faculty colleagues.

Visiting Scientists and Outreach Program
Once fully functional, the Gill Center will have a cadre of short- and long-term visitors participating in collaborative research. The IU technology transfer unit (ARTI) will closely assist Gill Center Faculty in exploring commercialization opportunities.
