Games
Where in Indiana is a simple game where the participants have to match aerial photographs of geographic locations (e.g. cities, famous landmarks) with actual descriptions/names of the places. Come by the "Where in Indiana " booth to register! Prizes will be handed out every 30 minutes for one lucky person with the most correct answers.
Geocache is an activity where you use a Global Positioning System (GPS) device to navigate to a location based on a coordinate you are given. Think of it as a treasure hunt where you are searching for a little cache of goodies (usually kept in a small tupperware container). Come by the Department of Geography table to check out a GPS device (ID required) and test your navigation skills. Participants will be given a summary sheet describing how to find each geocache location around the IMU and with basic instructions on how to use the GPS device. As you find each geocache location, take a goodie from the cache and see if you can find the next spot. For more information about Geocaching, click here . |
