In 2005 the Indiana Geographic Information Council (IGIC) coordinated the 2005 Statewide Digital Orthophotography Program, which facilitated the acquisition of statewide, high-resolution orthophotography and digital elevation data for Indiana. IGIC is working in partnership with the State of Indiana to coordinate the Orthophotography Project and local government participation. More information about the 2005 Orthophotography Project is available on the IGIC web site:

Funding for this project has come from a number of stakeholders, including the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, the United States Geological Survey and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Major contributions came from the Indiana 2004 State and Local Homeland Security Grant administered through the Indiana Counter-Terrorism and Security Council (now the Indiana Department of Homeland Security).
The Indiana Geological Survey (IGS) provides the 2005 natural color county mosaics in MrSID format on a suite of 16 DVDs. Individual DVDs cost $10 each, with a 20% discount on purchases of three or more. Please visit the IGS online bookstore and see the 2005 Indiana Aerial Imagery publication.
