The City of Bloomington acquired these high-resolution black-and-white orthophotos in April, 1998. The spatial extent of this dataset covers the Bloomington municiple area. Additional base map layers are available for download from the City of Bloomington .

This archive includes original images in TIF format and compressed images in MrSID format (*.sid).  Three different target compression ratios (1:10, 1:20, and 1:50) were used to create MrSID images for each TIF image.  All images are in tar archives. The MrSID tar archives include metadata files documenting the compression process. The images are archived in 18 directories corresponding to the CD-ROMs provided by the City.
