Unlike other blogs that specialize in politics, entertainment, and culture, Joe. My. God. is just the average opinions of an average Joe - if the average Joe is a big burly white gay guy in New York. This blog combines commentary on moderate liberal politics with a focus on theatre, celebrity, arts, and queer […]
I (heart) the Savagelove Podcast
I’ve become mildly obsessed with syndicated sex columnist Dan Savage as of late, and his sharp and snarky podcast version of his weekly sex column, called the Savagelovecast. If you have a question about human sexuality, relationships, and sexual orientation, you can find Dan’s opinions on full display on his weekly podcast show. […]

This true story is centered on Col. Margarethe Cammermeyer, a woman who comes to terms with her homosexuality while in the armed forces. With most movies where plots are centered on homosexuals, the hardest part for heterosexuals playing the role is acting as a genuine homosexual would act. However, Cammermeyer, played by Golden […]

Spring Break Beach Bums
It’s that time of the year: the time to forget your studies, and kick it back on the beach with your best buddies. Or maybe you’ll be kicking it back at home with your folks, only wishing you were on the warm beach. Either way, with a beach themed movie or book, you’re half-way there.

Queer Women of the Past…
March is Women’s History Month (according to the people with the power to designate such things), so I put together a display of queer women’s history for y’all.
We have lesbian nuns, radical feminists, a Nazi/Jewish love story, and famous actresses with ex-girlfriends. I’m also a big believer that Women’s History includes transwomen’s history, so […]
