The American Civil Liberties Union maintains a current list of state and local laws on workplace discrimination

Gay Rights Info is a highly useful resource with a great deal of unique or hard to find information, including state legislator voting records, states and localities with laws or policies on non-discrimination, hate crimes laws, adoption, domestic partners, etc.

The Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund maintains an excellent state-by-state guide to state and local laws on discrimination, domestic partnership, marriage, and sodomy.

The Queer Resources Directory maintains a large state-by-state inventory of several years' worth of news items, press releases, and alerts. (The info is not comprehensive and not always up-to-date, but can be helpful for researching ballot initiatives, anti-marriage campaigns, and other state and local developments.)
