Center for the Study of Global Change at 201 North Indiana Avenue.
The Center for the Study of Global Change examines what is global. To do so, it creates a supportive environment for cutting-edge approaches to global teaching, learning, and scholarship; promotes deeper analysis and critical understanding of global phenomena; contributes to the comprehensive internationalization of higher education; and integrates campus, community, regional, national, and international dialogues into its approaches and practices.
The center maintains a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and grounded Global Studies, and consciously encourages the crossing of regional and academic boundaries. Its emphasis on "change" sets a foundation for the academic exploration of dynamic, transnational, complex, and multi-faceted phenomena that may or may not shift across time and space. Global teaching, learning, and scholarship are at the heart of the mission of the Global Center, which is engaged in a systematic and sustained effort to infuse global perspectives in graduate, undergraduate, and PreK-12 teaching and learning. Collaboration and innovation are central to all of the Global Center's curricular, research, and outreach programs that explore and provide education on issues of global significance. The Global Center also aims to create public intellectuals, bring scholars and practitioners into dialogue, and utilize social media and technology to produce new global knowledge for broad audiences.
