Strengthening Professional Practice

In support of world language instruction, Bridges offers professionalization opportunities to educators and community members to promote best practices and advocacy of Less-Commonly Taught Languages.

Resources to Explore: Building a Stronger Network (Fall 2010) — Indiana Network for Early Language Learning (IN-NELL) and Bridges hosted a day of networking and learning at IU Bloomington. Sessions taught Best Practices in the World Language Classroom, Technology and 21st Century Learners, and Advocating for our World Language Programs. While emphasizing diversity and responsibility, the event was a "green conference" – demonstrating to participating teachers and children accountability for the impact of their actions.
