How to use the IU deliberation model, Deliberation for Global Perspectives in Teaching and Learning (DGP), with your students in the classroom:

DGP involves a six-step process in which students IDENTIFY, DEFINE, INVESTIGATE, DELIBERATE, REFLECT, and ACT upon their core values in relation to specific topics with local, national, and global implications.

To access detailed directions, lesson plans, teaching methods, and handouts/worksheets to use in your classroom, CLICK on each of the steps of the deliberation process below.

Suggestion:
Choices for the 21st Century curriculum units are specifically designed for student deliberation among choices; as such, they are highly recommended for use with this teaching method.
