The Center for the Study of Global Change, Center for Language Technology and Instructional Enrichment (CeLTIE), and the Department of Second Language Studies (SLS) are sponsoring the Annual Language Pedagogy, Assessment, and Technologies Workshop for Less Commonly Taught Language instructors on August 22-24. The first two days will emphasize language pedagogies and instructional methodologies and the last day will focus on instructional technologies and standards-based assessment. Dr. Anita Alkhas from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a teacher trainer and specialist in the pedagogy of language and culture, will be the lead instructor. On the morning of third day, CeLTIE will lead participants through relevant instructional technologies.

This is a free workshop and is open to all interested individuals, though space is limited. It will be a superb introduction to language instruction methodologies and pedagogical issues, or a refresher and review of various teaching methodologies and resources for language instructors.
